A simple variation on quick angel food cake desserts can really enhance the texture and the experience. Also, homemade whipped cream really tops this off.

It sounds pretty basic

It seems that sometimes angel food cake has that spongy kind of texture when you leave it as-is, but when you try this variation, you will be impressed at the difference it makes when you cut the cake up into bite-sized pieces and fold everything together – it’s almost mousse-like.

The simplicity

I really like angel food cake. It is so versatile and rather easy to make. Of course, even when you don’t have the time to actually bake an angel food cake, the store-bought ones work great for this recipe as well. This is such a simple and quick treat to make. You will not believe how light it is when you take that first bite. My family loves this, and I hope your family loves it as well!

Stir FryThe beauty of stir fry is all of the different ways you can combine flavors, and the pure simplicity of making it. Whether you are a vegetarian or a serious meat eater, stir fry provides a simple solution.

In our household, we generally have stir fry twice a week. Our kids are always very excited, and they hardly ever leave any leftovers. Sometimes I wonder where they put all that food. I guess you could say that stir fry is definitely a staple in our household – along with lots of kimchi!

Over the many years of cooking experience that I have, stir fry is one of the funnest and most appealing to me. For those hesitant of giving it a try, don’t worry – it is virtually fool proof. The time it takes to steam rice (which is approx. 30 min for white long grain, and approx. 45 min for brown rice) is all it takes to make a fabulous meal.

Here’s a simple stir fry sauce recipe, just to get you started (goes well with beef, chicken, or just plain veggie):

5 tbsp soy sauce
5 tbsp water
2 tbsp vinegar
3 cloves minced garlic
1 in fresh ginger, peeled and minced
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp corn starch

Whisk together.

Cook sauce until thickened, then toss your meat and/or veggies back into the pan and mix it all together. Now pat yourself on the back for a job well done.
